WE'VE GOT ORDERS!!!!!!!

They FINALLY came through today, and now Aaryk is off making all the appointments for for things he has to do to clear.

It will STILL be several weeks, and we won't know anything more certain for a week or more yet, with All American Week being last week, they didn't do ANY out processing and so now they are backed up.

But it's all good, because we are back in the 'hurry up' part of 'hurry up and wait'!

Once again...God is SOOOOOO good!

No news is, well....no news

We are in a holding pattern at the moment, what I refer to as the Army version of 'on hold hell'.

You know, when you make a call, finally weaving your way through all the voice prompts and get transferred to a real person and put on hold only to find out that they transferred you to the wrong department, and certainly we'll transfer you, and you sit and sit, listening to the muzak until you want to scream, only to find out that no, you WERE transferred to the right area, just wait one more second and we'll transfer you back, and after waiting on hold for 35 minutes they disconnect you and you have to start all over?

That's pretty much our situation at the moment.

Due to SNAFUs and bureaucracy and now All American Week, we still don't have orders. Keep in mind that after Aaryk finally GETS his orders, he still has about 2 weeks worth of stuff to do before we can even think about moving.

We did get an apartment in Phoenix,we'll be moving back to Waterford Place in Mesa. It's the complex we lived in before Aaryk went back into the Army. Unfortunately, we start paying rent there on June 6. Even after we get orders, we have to give 30 days notice here, so it looks like we're going to be paying rent in two places for most of June.

Brian goes on leave tomorrow for about a week, and is headed to Phoenix. When he returns, his fiancee is coming down for a few days. I'd hoped to be out on the way through at that point to get to see them both, but that's now a big unknown. If we can get there while he still has some leave (in TX), I'd like to get him up to see his grandparents in Dallas. But again...too many unknowns at this time.

Oh, and he's due to deploy mid June. At this point, I just want to see him before he leaves for Afghanistan!

Okay, enough of my moping and venting. Prayers for patience, paperwork, and peace would all be wondrously appreciated!

We leave some time tomorrow to meet the folks in Indianapolis for the weekend, for the race and to pick up Percy!

You all have a safe and good Memorial Day, and remember to say a prayer for our soldiers and their families, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

More news when we actually have some!
